Remarkly ("the Service") is operated by Daybreak Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile photo (if provided by your authentication provider)
1.2 LinkedIn Profile Data
If you connect your LinkedIn account, we collect:
- LinkedIn profile ID
- Display name
- Profile photo URL
- Email address associated with your LinkedIn account
We access this data through LinkedIn's OpenID Connect protocol with the scopes "openid profile email". We do not access your LinkedIn connections, messages, or feed.
1.3 Voice Samples
To personalize AI-drafted comments, you provide writing samples during onboarding and through continued use. These may include past LinkedIn comments or posts you've written. Voice samples are used solely to train the AI to match your writing style.
1.4 Usage Data
We collect data about how you use the Service, including:
- Comments drafted, approved, edited, and posted
- Posts added to your feed
- ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) settings
- Daily engagement streaks and goal progress
- Feature usage patterns
1.5 Technical Data
We automatically collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and referring URL through our analytics provider. This data is used for service improvement and is not linked to your personal identity.

3. AI Processing
Your voice samples and approved comments are processed by AI models (Anthropic Claude) to generate comment drafts that match your writing style. Post content from your feed is also sent to the AI model as context for drafting relevant comments.
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Our AI provider (Anthropic) does not use API inputs for model training.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Database: Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest.
- LinkedIn tokens: Access tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. They are decrypted only when needed for API calls.
- Authentication: Managed by Clerk, which handles session tokens and credential security.
- Payments: Processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement row-level access controls to ensure users can only access their own data.

We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate the Service:

6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Voice samples: Retained while your account is active, capped at 50 samples per user. Deleted upon account deletion.
- Feed posts: Automatically expire after 48 hours. Deleted upon account deletion.
- Activity logs: Retained for 12 months for analytics, then anonymized.
- LinkedIn tokens: Deleted when you disconnect LinkedIn or delete your account.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information through your account settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
- Export: Request an export of your data in a portable format
- Disconnect: Remove your LinkedIn connection at any time
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any email

8. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Remarkly is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
